The short answer: Yes.
The better answer: Still Yes. We're not traditional publishers (or independently wealthy) so we pretty much of have to :(
We do our best to keep our prices reasonable and lower than other self-publishing houses for (mostly) comparable services. We say 'mostly' because no one really does what we do. Spoiler alert: It includes marketing, email, social, and blog posts, CRM, and business consulting. No additional charges.

We accept AI-assisted manuscripts where less than 15% of the text is generated by AI.
For copyright reasons, among others, we do not accept manuscripts which are primary written by AI.
Does Reaching & Rooted use AI in its manuscript development and/or editing process?
R&R client and author content is never used to train third-party AI models and is not exposed to unauthorized parties. We use Claude, an AI model built by Anthropic, accessed exclusively through Anthropic's commercial business channels and integrated directly into our internal operating system.
R&R uses AI for first-pass manuscript analysis, body-of-work organization, and editing-support workflows.
All manuscript writing and structural, developmental, and copy & line editing is always performed by our professional and very human editors.
How does Reaching & Rooted use AI?
R&R uses AI for internal administration workflows, editing support workflows, first-pass manuscript analysis, and body-of-work organization. We also may use AI to test cover concepts or to create technical charts and instructional drawings for book interiors.
